A flower with a pure and delicate appearance, yet growing up to 6,000 meters high, it has become a symbol of strength and resilience.
Many legends surround the edelweiss, and my favorite is this one:
"A star from the sky fell in love with a lonely mountain, and knowing it could never return, it descended to Earth to be with her. For love, it transformed into a small white flower: the edelweiss. Since then, that flower grows on the highest peaks, a symbol of eternal and silent love."
The brooch measures 6 cm.
